2008 Regional Ancillary Event Guidelines

Introduction
The National Lipid Association (NLA) is the only professional organization focused on meeting the educational needs of lipid specialists in clinical practice. Our professional development curriculum is designed for healthcare professionals, physicians and allied health, seeking training, clinical updates, practice guidance, and certification in the field of lipidology. Our Annual Scientific Sessions, and 4 regional scientific meetings, offer supporters a multitude of options for reaching this key market with important educational messages.

In addition to our Industry Council grant opportunities that support the NLA's overall scientific programming, the NLA has created many more sponsorship opportunities for Industry in 2008 including CME symposia, ancillary receptions and business events. NLA meetings attract nearly 1,000 attendees in total annually, reaching 400-500 at the NLA Annual Scientific Sessions.

All ancillary programming (symposia and events) intended for NLA members attending an NLA Scientific Meeting or Course must be submitted by application to the NLA Meetings Department. Please be advised that no outside events may be held at or in conjunction with NLA meetings without review and approval.
