National and Regional Scientific Meetings

A primary goal of the NLA is to sponsor the continuing education activities of its 5 regional chapters throughout the United States. Each chapter offers an annual scientific meeting within its region. The goal is to foster a local community of lipid specialists and to offer continuing education conferences that do not require expensive stays or long distance travel. Each chapter has its own Board of Directors and has elected representatives on the NLA Board.

In addition to the regional meetings of the NLA chapters, the NLA will hold one national meeting of the association each year in May. The NLA Annual Scientific Sessions will be marketed to the entire membership and will feature 4 days of continuing education, workshops, poster sessions and satellite events for approximately 400-500 attendees.

Grant funding is sought to support the NLA Annual Scientific Sessions as well as each chapter's annual education program, its speakers and the management of each event. Supporters at the levels identified below will receive complimentary exhibit booth space and will be prominently recognized on the meeting materials and signage at each event.
