Continuing Education Activities & Lifelong Learning
The NLA offers an array of activities that provide lipid-focused education for all members of the clinical team.
Each year, the NLA presents the latest science to members at its Annual Scientific Sessions and its regional chapter meetings.
All NLA education activities meet the requirements for certification by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology.

NLA provides a curriculum for professional development and validation of recognized expertise in the field of clinical

Advocacy
The NLA promotes the prevention of cardiovascular disease and provides a unified voice on national and regional health policy issues that affect our members as well as patients with lipid disorders.

The NLA newsletter, The Lipid Spin, the official journal of NLA, Journal of Clinical Lipidology, and this website, are comprehensive resources that offer news, events calendars, clinical articles, and policy statements.
International Recognition
The National Lipid Association is a Constituent Society of The International Atherosclerosis Society.
