LIPID LEGENDS CHALLENGE 2008-The Hunt Is On!
Thursday, May 29, 2008 • 5:00-6:30pm
Fee included in your meeting registration.

This year's kickoff event will test your spirit of adventure, your knowledge of lipids and your sense of direction! Join us first for the Opening Sessions, then team up and hit the streets of Seattle for the Lipid Legends Challenge '08. Participants will use GPS devices to find secret locations in downtown Seattle, where each team will be tested on their lipid knowledge. After completing the hunt for clues, your team will meet back in the General Session room to see who can unlock the attaché case. It will take every team's information to decode the combination lock and discover the prizes that await.

Walking and Wine Tour: Chateau Ste Michelle

Pike Place Market Food and Cultural Tour

This colorful and fascinating downtown "must see" attraction has over 250 one-of-a-kind businesses, including the first Starbucks Coffee Shop. On this two hour walking tour you will learn about the locally made food and beverages, meet the local people, and sample over ten different foods that are enough to fill you up for lunch. People and children of all ages are welcome to participate and come dressed prepared, rain or shine, for a fantastic look at why Pike Place Market is considered Seattle's heart and soul!

Practical Pedometry Walk

This 2-mile walk (approximately 60 minutes) will incorporate the use of a pedometer. A new pedometer will be provided to the first 50 participants. Please wear comfortable walking apparel and shoes.

2008 Convocation Ceremony

The American Board of Clinical Lipidology (ABCL) in conjunction with the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology (ACCL) will hold its third annual Convocation Ceremony. The ABCL will recognize the dedication and achievement of those physicians who have successfully passed the ABCL certifying exam and earned the distinction of Diplomate in 2007. The ACCL will recognize for the first time all the allied healthcare professionals who have successfully passed the ACCL certifying exam and earned the distinction of Clinical Lipid Specialist. Invitations will be mailed to all honorees - the ceremony is open to the general membership.
