Lipid.Org Call for Submissions

Dear SELA Members and Lipid Professional:

With the rollout of Lipid.Org in August of 2000, the Southeast Lipid Association positioned itself as the Web Desktop for the Lipid Specialist. Now it's time for us to work on our next major goal.

SELA WILL DEVELOP THE TOP WEB SITE FOR PATIENT INFORMATION ON LIPID DISORDERS AND CORONARY PREVENTION.

But your help is needed! We have provided a list of 40 distinct patient info topics. You are invited to take one or several of these topics to prepare patient information section(s) over the next few months. The length should be 2-4 double-spaced pages and adhere to the Patient Education Style Guidelines.

John Guyton, Evan Sisson, and David Robertson will consider your choices of topics and make assignments for writing. Joint authorship by several people within your clinic, or even a joint effort among multiple clinics is encouraged. Every submission will be reviewed by the patient information editor, the web site committee, and the entire SELA board. Some revision should be expected. Anyone else who wants to be a reviewer is welcome.

You and your clinic will get credit for your work by being listed (names and clinic) as "Primary author(s)." You can start by filling out the proposal form below. Please include all requested information and include working copy if you have any. You will be contacted shortly. Thank you for your help.
