Daniel E. Wise, MD, Elected President of Southeast Lipid Association

Daniel E. Wise, MD was recently elected to serve as President of the Southeast Lipid Association (SELA) at the 9th Annual Scientific Forum held at the Amelia Island Resort at Amelia Island, Florida, August 11-13, 2006. Dr. Wise is the Medical Director of the Presbyterian Center for Preventive Cardiology in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Wise received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, and received his medical degree from Ohio State School of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received a Fellowship in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Wise has served as Chief of Cardiology at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina and is active in COSEHC, the Consortium for Southeastern Hypertension Control. Among his many professional accomplishments, he was a member of the first class of Diplomates recognized by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.
