The Mission of the Southeast Lipid Association
The Mission of the Southeast Lipid Association is hereby reaffirmed. The Mission of SELA is:
- To enhance the practice of lipid management in clinical medicine.
The objectives for SELA are:
- To promote the growth of lipid specialty practice as a defined discipline in clinical medicine.
- To enhance awareness of emerging knowledge of metabolism, pathogenesis and genetics of lipid disorders.
- To improve knowledge and professional skills in the diagnosis and the treatment of lipid disorders.
- To foster multidisciplinary team approach to lipid management and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
