Clinic Develoment and Operations Course

Overview

Physicians and allied health professionals are invited to this course to learn key considerations on how to develop and successfully operate a lipid and metabolic syndrome clinic. The course will examine the characteristics of successful clinic programs and will cover program organization from both an operational and clinical framework. All participants will receive valuable supplementary materials for use in practice including business plan essentials, marketing and promotion, flow sheets, patient education materials, forms and more.

Objectives

  • Implement practical strategies for the development and efficient administration of a level I and level II lipid clinic
  • Establish a cost-effective, financially sound lipid management program
  • Incorporate appropriate and effective marketing and business development practices
  • Apply concepts and techniques to specific lipid clinic patient management situations within the framework of case studies


This activity is included as an optional breakout session of the parent course Scientific Sessions. CME/CE Credit will be provided.
