Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians and all interested health care professionals interested in developing or enhancing their lipid clinic operations.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Implement practical strategies for the development and efficient administration of a level I and level II lipid clinic
- Establish a cost-effective, financially sound lipid management program
- Develop a framework for sequencing treatment for patients with dyslipidemias
- Develop discriminating referral criteria and therapeutic plan development for successful clinic operation
- Incorporate appropriate and effective marketing and business development practices
- Identify the various stages of planning a lipid/metabolic syndrome management service
- Apply concepts and techniques to specific lipid clinic patient management situations within the framework of case studies

The National Lipid Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The National Lipid Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Criteria for Success

Program Format
This educational activity is composed of didactic lectures with PowerPoint presentations. There will be ample time for questions and answers and attendee participation is highly encouraged.
