Foundation of the NLA Gala Event

The Gala will begin with a cocktail reception at the famous Mansion on O Street. This hotel and eclectic museum was originally designed in 1892 and was converted into three separate rooming houses for FBI director, J. Edgar Hoover´s G-Men. Tour the Mansion and explore more than 100 rooms and 32 secret doors, including an impressive collection of art and music memorabilia. End the night with a delicious dinner and dancing. Join us to help increase awareness of the Foundation of the NLA and support its current public awareness initiative on Familial Hypercholesterolemia.

Practical Pedometer Course and 2 mile walk

This brief discussion and outdoor field session will address the practical applications of recently published research regarding, - how to choose and use pedometers, and most importantly, tips on the creative use of pedometers in primary and secondary prevention settings. Join us as we take a 2 mile pedometer calibration walking tour of Washington, DC's historic sites and main attractions.! This session includes the Accusplit Eagle 2720 (step-filtered long-term memory) pedometer to the first 30 registrants. All proceeds from this event benefit the Foundation of the NLA. Special thanks to Accusplit for donating the pedometers.
