PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The National Lipid Association has identified significant professional education gaps related to High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C) and HDL-C raising therapies. The science is complex, nomenclature is not standardized and extensive research on new therapies is underway.

To address this important need, the NLA is offering a new, state-of-the-art, CME-CE certified Master Class providing a complete educational curriculum that will:

  • Explore the correlation between low levels of HDL-C and the occurrence of cardiovascular events
  • Provide a framework for the integration of strategies to elevate HDL-C on the basis of appropriate interpretation of clinical data
  • Help synthesize current research on the role of HDL-C receptors and mechanisms involved in the production, metabolism, and functionality of HDL-C
  • Increase your effectiveness in managing HDL-C to reduce your patients' risk for atherosclerotic disease

Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians,
pharmacists, nurses, registered dietitians and other allied
healthcare professionals and specialists with advanced
knowledge and interest in lipid management.

Benefits of Attending
You will learn from and interact with true "Masters" of HDL
science at the 1.5 day live Class and enjoy complimentary
access to a new Self-Assessment Program series, as well as a
comprehensive HDL educational resource repository at
www.lipid.org.

By successfully completing the HDL curriculum, you will receive a Certificate of Mastery suitable for printing, which will be tracked for Credentialing or Maintenance of Certification points with the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology.
