We include physicians, researchers, nurses and other allied healthcare practitioners involved clinical lipidology, which focuses on lipid and lipoprotein metabolism and their associated disorders.

Lipidologists: Who are We?

Lipidology is a young and dynamic field. To learn more about our members and their needs in 2010 the NLA commissioned the Lipid Pulse survey. The goal of this comprehensive membership survey was to help the NLA shape a strategic plan for making a positive impact on our members.

Honors and Awards

The NLA Honors and Awards Committee has established three different awards to recognize outstanding member contributions. These are the NLA Distinguished Achievement Award, the Honorary Lifetime Member Award, and Fellow of the NLA Award. We have many talented and accomplished professionals in our ranks, and we always look to recognize and applaud their commitment to medicine, research, and the highest levels of patient care.

Member Benefits

ADP
Through a special arrangement with ADP Totalsource, NLA members utilizing this program will have access to outsourced human resources professionals. Services offered include payroll processing/payroll tax filling, human resource guidance, benefits and benefit administration, and risk management and safety guidance.

Career Center
To assist our members in career placement the NLA has developed the Career Center. NLA members seeking new employment may submit qualifications and a CV. Members with open positions may also submit notices. Check back often to see what's new.

Members who take advantage of this program will receive notification whenever your personal information is being used to apply for wireless services, retail credit, utilities, and mortgage loans within our extensive network. In the event your identity is comprised LifeLock will assist in your recovery efforts.

Lipid Bucks
The NLA has developed an incentive program for members. NLA Members earn lipid bucks through various activities such as paying dues early, recruiting new members, or attending a live meeting. Earned lipid bucks can be redeemed for rewards such as free dues and annual meeting registrations.

Member Logo
A special logo has been developed to denote membership in the NLA. This logo is available for download by our members. Prior to download members must agree to the terms of use.

The NLA PQRIwizard
The NLA PQRIwizard^SM offers eligible professionals a simple and cost-effective online tool to collect and report quality measure data under the CMS PQRS 2011 incentive payment program.
