The objectives of this session are to: • Recognize the prerequisite for early diagnosis and effective screening, treatment and management of children with FH. • Understand the need for and benefits of treating FH children with ancillary lifestyle management strategies. • Be updated on European screening for FH. • Gain further information on InterChol (The International Cholesterol Foundation) and its mission to help preventing early heart attacks in people with inherited high cholesterol.

The WCIRDC is designed to evaluate both clinical and basic science aspects of insulin resistance, obesity, Diabetes and CVD. It elevates many metabolic systems and their relationship such as: energy metabolism, fat cell, beta cell, gut, and the brain . Clinical topics may include aspects of insulin resistance, inflammation and its relationship to the obesity, diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, as well as other abnormalities like endothelial and vascular dysfunction. PCOS, gonadal dysfunction, fatty liver disease, sleep disorder and related cancers. The congress also focuses on multi-hormonal obesity, fat cell incretin and gut hormone contributions to energy balance, and its relationship to circadian rhythm as it relates to these metabolic mechanisms.
