The Connecting the Dots: Inflammation's Impact on ASCVD and CKD is a free 90-minute virtual symposium recording where attendees will learn about the complex relationship of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD), systemic inflammation, and chronic kidney disease (CKD). Recording will be made available in April 2024.

 

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, registered nurses, advance practice registered nurses, nurse practitioners and registered dietitians with expertise in lipidology looking for further advanced training.

  • Discuss recent and ongoing clinical trials involving the effect of inflammation on atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and the concept of residual inflammatory risk.
  • Describe the use of anti-inflammatory agents in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
  • Evaluate the role of novel therapies for the future clinical management of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who have elevated inflammatory risk.
  • Discuss strategies to improve the knowledge, skills or performance of the healthcare team.
