National Lipid Association Honored with National Forum’s 2026 Public Policy Award

The National Lipid Association (NLA) has been awarded the prestigious Public Policy Award by the National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention during its 24th Annual Meeting. Presented annually, this distinction honors an organization that has effectively advanced policy change above and beyond the norm to reduce the national, state, or local burden of cardiovascular disease.

The National Forum recognized the NLA for spearheading a comprehensive, multi-faceted advocacy campaign to return low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) screening and management to the forefront of healthcare quality measurement. Through collaborative leadership and focused policy engagement, the NLA has driven critical momentum toward ensuring Medicare beneficiaries and individuals across the country receive timely, guideline-directed lipid care. This honor underscores the NLA’s steadfast commitment to translating clinical lipidology into nationwide standards of care that protect patient health and prevent adverse cardiovascular outcomes.
