Foundation of the NLA Clinician/Educator Award

This special award is to be granted in the following manner:

Criteria

Nominees for this award shall be clinicians and/or educators who:

  • retain membership in the NLA for a minimum of 2 years (IF nominee is a clinician);
  • participate actively in NLA activities (IF nominee is a clinician);
  • make outstanding contributions to patient care and/or lipid-focused education

Selection

The Foundation of the NLA Clinician/Educator Award recipient is nominated and selected annually by a selection committee comprised of Foundation of the NLA leaders.


Award Detail

The recipient will be recognized with a plaque and monetary award of $1,000 at the Honors and Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with the NLA’s annual Scientific Sessions. The awardee’s travel to the Honors and Awards Ceremony shall be covered by the Foundation. Awardees not able to attend the award ceremony are still eligible to receive the “Clinician/Educator Award” designation but are ineligible to receive the monetary award.
