He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Dr. Morreale's current interests include general cardiology, interventional and structural cardiology, critical care cardiology, and lipidology. Outside of work, Dr. Morreale enjoys spending time with his family and dog, travelling internationally, living an active lifestyle through soccer and triathlon, cooking, and salsa dancing with his wife.
When asked what the most impactful part of being an LSP recipient is, Dr. Morreale replied, “Being selected as a Lipid Scholar has given me the opportunity to develop crucial basic science and clinical knowledge to take care of my patients across the atherosclerosis spectrum - from primary prevention to very high-risk secondary prevention. Aside from the endless educational programs, the most valuable aspect of the Lipid Scholar Program, in my opinion, is the people. The NLA is a small, close-knit community that has been very welcoming of trainees. The LSP is your catalyst and built-in community to learning lipidology, discussing difficult cases, and receiving clinical mentorship and leadership coaching from top experts. The experience is born from the people!”
The NLA is proud to broadcast the incredible medical professionals within our organization and is making efforts to support members-in-training. If you are interested in applying for the LSP program, visit lipid.org/lipidscholarshipprogram.
