Lipid Scholarship Program CommitteeThe Lipid Scholarship Program Committee fosters high quality training programs in clinical lipidology for physician and allied health trainees; develops career and educational opportunities for trainees in a variety of settings; and serves as the NLA's liaison with other organizations involved in graduate medical education or allied health training programs. |
Mission
The mission of the Lipid Scholarship Program Committee is to support the establishment of ACGME recognized fellowship programs in Lipidology.
Structure
The Lipid Scholarship Program Committee includes a Chair and/or Co-chair and additional members involved in graduate medical education.
Term
Appointed annually for a one (1) year term and confirmed by the committee chair.
Charges
- Develop and maintain a curriculum for a fellowship program in clinical lipidology;
- Encourage trainee involvement in the NLA, its scientific meetings and courses.
- Foster concept of recognized fellowship and/or post-graduate allied health training in Clinical Lipidology and encourage certification;
- Serve as the NLA's liaison with other organizations involved in GME or allied health training programs.
