New CLM-SAP Coming Soon The NLA is working on a new Complex Lipid Management Self-Assessment Program (CLM-SAP) on the 2018 Multisociety Guideline on the Management of Blood Cholesterol. The revised guideline emphasizes reducing risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) through lipid management. The CLM-SAP is designed to address practice gaps in lipid management utilizing the guidelines. This new online CLM-SAP module offers CME/CE credit and is free to all active NLA members. Stay tuned to NLA communications for more details about the release of this new CLM-SAP.

NLA Mentoring Program

Women in Lipidology Section

Joyce Ross, MSN, CRNP, FNLA, Anne Goldberg, MD, FNLA, Carol Kirkpatrick, PhD, RD, MPH, FNLA, and Roda Plakogiannis, PharmD, FNLA are cochairing the Women in Lipidology section of the NLA. The primary goal of the group is to increase the involvement of the female membership of the NLA in speaking roles, leadership roles, writing groups, and committees. Genetics Work Group

The Genetics Work Group is co-chaired Amy Sturm, MS, LGC and Nathan Stitzel, MD, PhD. This work group has recently been established and will focus on providing resources and tools to NLA members on ways to use genetic testing and provide the latest information in genetic lipid disorders.
