Member Stories: Julie Bolick, RD
I have worked in lipid clinics for over 25 years as a Clinical Dietitian Nutritionist and the past 4 years as a Clinical Lipid Specialist. In 2007, I started exploring continuing education in lipid management. I attended a meeting of a preventive cardiology association and heard about the NLA and joined later that year. I have never been a part of a more welcoming, respectful or cutting-edge association. NLA has provided me with great learning opportunities to lecture at Lipid Academy, Annual Scientific Sessions and serve on Pacific Lipid Association board and many committees, contribute to Lipid Spin, NLA-SAP and chair the Nutrition Task Force. I am recognized in my workplace as an expert in non-pharmacologic approaches to lipid management and consulted with complex lipid disorders, FH and statin intolerant patients. I am grateful for the NLA and will be a lifetime member.
