Message from Dr. Sanford Carimi, Newly Elected President of the Midwest Lipid Association

I am extremely honored and excited to be the President of the MWLA for this next year.  

2017 has certainly been the year of change, whether speaking about politics, sports, or medicine. Change can be exciting, stimulating, but sometimes frightening when not prepared for the change. 

As President of the MWLA, I am committed to strengthening our ability to meet these changes in the world of Lipid Medicine with fostering increased engagement of our colleagues and healthcare partners, access to Lipid Practice tools, and improvement in Quality Cardiovascular Preventative/Lipid Management care.

I look forward to seeing you at the Fall Clinical Lipid Update in Indianapolis in August, which will be co-hosted by our Midwest and the Southeast (SELA) chapters of the NLA.
