NLA Reaches 100 Lifetime Members

Last Updated: Friday, 26-Apr-2013 16:00:00 EDT

The National Lipid Association now has 100 lifetime members, which means $100,000 has been set aside for fellowship training programs in lipidology. The NLA is offering this program only through the end of 2013.

How does lifetime membership work? It’s simple:

  • Anyone who has been a member of the National Lipid Association for at least one year can become a lifetime member.
  • A one-time fee is calculated by the length of your membership history.  If you have been a member for 5 years or more, the cost is $1,500. Two-year members pay $1,800, and so on.
  • Never pay dues again! Lifetime membership provides the benefit of eliminating your annual dues obligation, regardless of impending rate increases.
  • $1,000 of the lifetime member fee is a tax-deductible donation in your name to the Foundation of the NLA. This donation will establish the first fellowship and training programs in clinical lipidology.
  • Lifetime membership will only be offered through 2013. Enrollment will not be open in 2014.
