Foundation to Launch Rare Disease Campaign in Conjunction with National Cholesterol Education Month
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (September 2016) — The Foundation of the National Lipid Association, in conjunction with National Cholesterol Education Month, will launch the RADAR Campaign (RADAR: RAre Disease AwaReness) providing resources and tools to both patients and healthcare professionals designed to help improve the identification and management of rare lipid disorders, including FH, FCS, and LAL-D.
The overall goal is to increase the quality of care delivered to patients who might be identified as having a rare lipid disorder. One highlight of the campaign includes an online cookbook that will have recipes geared for the FCS patient, along with tearsheets and other patient resources.
The campaign will launch mid-September and will be ongoing with new resources through Fall 2016. Stay tuned to www.learnyourlipids.org.
