NLA Achieves Joint Accreditation The NLA was recently awarded accredited provider status for Joint Accreditation in Interprofessional Continuing Education. Joint Accreditation offers organizations the opportunity to be simultaneously accredited to provide medical, pharmacy, and nursing continuing education through a unified set of accreditation standards. Certification in Lipidology Preparing to become certified in lipidology through either the American Board of Clinical Lipidology or Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology? NLA Introduces New LDL-Receptor SAP The NLA invites you to take the Translational Science of the LDL-Receptor Self-Assessment Program (SAP). This SAP provides a comprehensive, indepth indoctrination to advanced lipid science and is designed to provide lipid specialists with improved proficiency on the functionality and clinical implications of the LDL-Receptor and the complexities of LDL metabolism and targets of therapy. The activity contains board exam-style questions with corresponding educational critiques from our experts and offers up to 3.25 CME/CE credit hours. NLA’s Trainee Travel Grant Program Travel grants are available for in-training members attending the NLA Lipid Academy Courses, each including a $500 travel grant and complimentary attendance for the Lipid Academy. PCSK9 Survey Results Announced at ACC.17 The NLA’s Health Quality and Research Committee conducted an online survey of providers in an effort to identify and quantify the challenges in prescribing PCSK9 inhibitors.
