NLA: Beneficial to All
lipid.org
For Healthcare Professionals:
The National Lipid Association (NLA) is a group of healthcare professionals who are truly dedicated to prevent cardiovascular disease and other disorders related to lipids and lipoprotein metabolism. Our mission is to enhance the practice of lipid management in clinical medicine. We grew from our founding in 1997 to a national organization out of very strong leadership from our founders of the Southeast Lipid Association (SELA).
For Patients:
We have a patient-centered partner called the Foundation of the NLA. The Foundation was formed to serve as an education and research organization in the field of clinical lipidology. Built on the groundwork of its predecessor, the Florida Lipid Foundation, the Foundation has turned its focus from providing education and materials to helping patients and their families manage and overcome lipid problems.
Enjoy These Opportunities:
Refer your patients to https://www.learnyourlipids.com/index.php Not only can your patients find a specialist, but they will find resources to learn about lipids and disease states that are derived from lipid abnormalities such as familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) and familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS).
Support the Foundation at no cost to you:
Amazon shopper?? Easiest way to support the foundation is by going to www.smile.amazon.com and select the foundation of the National Lipid Association to support. They will donate a small percentage of each purchase at no added cost for the consumer.
I’ve generated over $25 in the last month as a pretty loyal amazon shopper. Imagine what the cumulative benefit would be if everyone participated!
Thank you for your membership and your dedication to improve knowledge and care of patients with cardiovascular disease and other lipid abnormalities!
