Health Equity Committee

Structure

The Health Equity Committee shall be a standing committee of the NLA consisting of at least one chairperson and members of the NLA interested in improving diversity, equity, and inclusion as it relates to the NLA membership, membership, and membership development, NLA education, resources, and organizational efforts for the clinician and patient communities served by the NLA.. 

Term

One year, renewable.

Charge

1. To focus on efforts to promote:

   1. Racial, ethnic, gender, age, and interprofessional/interdisciplinary diversity within the NLA membership and NLA educational programming and resource materials
   2. Inclusion of social determinants of health and gaps in knowledge related to lipid management in scientific literature and educational resources
