Cardiology Position in Monterey, California

Live and work in one of the most beautiful coastal locations you can find throughout the country. The practice is located 2 hours from San Francisco right on the Pacific Ocean.

About the Practice:

We are a well-established group of highly experienced Board-Certified Cardiologists in a private practice currently seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Cardiologist, or Lipidologist to join our team for a full-time or part time opportunity. The practice currently focuses on preventive cardiology, lipidology, and cardiovascular imaging and management.

• With respect to the lipidologist position, this would involve lipid and genetic consultations and ongoing management.  
• With respect to the noninvasive cardiologist position, this would involve cardiovascular consultations and option for performing and interpreting cardiac imaging studies such as echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress imaging, vascular imaging, CT coronary calcium scoring, cardiac and coronary CTA, and with Heart Flow analysis, as well as ECGs and arrhythmia monitoring. Providers have the opportunity to use the integrated electronic health record (Athenahealth), currently in use in the office.

Preferred:

The preferred candidate will have 3+ years of cardiovascular experience in lipid management and/or non-invasive cardiology with interest in cardiac imaging, cardiovascular assessment, and management.

About the Position: 

• Working in clinical and preventive management, the physician will diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases and offer preventive services, as well as diagnostic testing and imaging studies as outlined above.
• The population will include patients with known cardiovascular diseases, symptoms or cardiovascular risk, as well as patients with lipid disorders, and those with a suspected or known genetic basis for disease.
• No call required. The candidate would be hired as an Independent Contractor. Office space, staff, and supplies are provided. The contract salary range is receipts-based compensation.
• Also, the candidate has the opportunity to join the local hospitals, if desired, for cardiovascular service with Prima Heart affiliation and contracts.
• This position will serve community needs by caring for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
