TARGET AUDIENCE
The intended audience for the activity is physicians (lipid specialists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, internists, family practitioners), advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and registered dietitians involved in lipid management.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this activity, all participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate evidence-based guidelines and recommendations for the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease
  • Review the current scientific evidence about dietary risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to .75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
