2023 Scientific Sessions Abstract Award Winners

The National Lipid Association (NLA) is pleased to announce that 90 abstracts were accepted for presentation in the poster format for the NLA 2023 Scientific Sessions. Each abstract was reviewed by the NLA Scientific Sessions Abstracts Committee prior to acceptance. Posters were judged on quality of science, originality, interest to the field of lipidology, and overall impression. The first place Young Investigator and Donald Hunninghake FH winner were selected to give an oral presentation during the sessions. The Young Investigator award is reserved for those who are in-training, students, residents, and fellows or members in practice for under 5 years. The Hunninghake (FH) award is earned by the best submitted abstract in the area of FH research. 

The NLA proudly presented Alexander C. Razavi, MD, PhD, MPH with the 2023 Young Investigator award and the Foundation of the NLA proudly presented Zahid Ahmad, MD, FNLA the 2023 Donald Hunninghake FH award. Their poster abstracts are displayed below. Congratulations to our winners!
