It is my pleasure and honor to have become President of the Pacific Chapter of the National Lipid Association. I bring with me the experience of working with two tremendous past Presidents, J. Antonio G. López, MD and John Nelson, MD. I am excited that we have such a dynamic chapter with enthusiastic members. Our executive board is very involved and experienced.  I know that I will have the help I need to make this a very successful year for the PLA.

It is a privilege to be elected as President of the Southwest Chapter of the National Lipid Association for the upcoming year. I am looking forward to working closely with the brilliant minds of our organization and a strong and motivated board of directors that comprise our leadership.

I am honored that I have been chosen as President of the Southeast Lipid Association. This, of course, is a high honor having been elected to this position for which the likes of such lipid icons as Drs. Virgil Brown, John Guyton and Roger Blumenthal have held. I thank Dr. Paul Ziajka and his leadership as SELA president this last year and particularly what he has accomplished in Florida over the last decade and a half.
