Statins, Exercise Performance and Myofibrillar Response: October 2013 update

RE: Exercise Group Post update (10/1/13).  This slide deck is an ongoing and enduring slide resource for the topic of exercise intolerance, myopathy, and statin therapy.  There is growing support for the influence of statin therapy (probably dose related but this has not been confirmed) and exercise responsivity in some individuals.  There is also growing support for greater acute exercise intolerances (e.g.,delayed recovery, fatigue, peak V02, myalgia) with those who engage in > 2,000 kcal/wk exercise and in those who are in the top percentiles of aerobic endurance fitness (possibly also those who are in top percentiles of muscular fitness). Note that this slide resource is tuncated at ~20mb so only about 50% of the slides can be posted.
